A single-boiler machine that rewards patience and punishes hurry.

Ardec Uno review

Intro

The Uno is the cheapest machine in this roundup that still gives you a real brew-pressure gauge and a three-way solenoid. Everything else about it is a lesson in trade-offs.

Build

Stainless wrap over a painted chassis. The drip tray flexes if you lean on it, which you will, because the cup clearance is tight enough that you end up nudging things into place.

In the cup

Single boiler means you wait between brewing and steaming. Once it settles, the temperature is stable enough that shot-to-shot variation comes from the grinder rather than the machine.

Spec Value
Boiler 300 ml, single
Pump Vibratory, 15 bar
Warm-up 6 min
Cup clearance 78 mm
Weight 9.1 kg

Temperature stability

Recovery is the thing to watch on a single boiler. Measured at the group, back to back, after a steam cycle:

Verdict

Buy it if you drink one or two milk drinks a day and can live with the wait. Skip it if you make four flat whites back to back on a weekend morning.
